How we charge

Our business model is low on cost and high on output. So whether you're a corporation looking for expert communication advice, a small business needing an article written, or a PR consultancy needing some extra support, you get to benefit from the TextWrite model too.

For occasional work we charge by the hour and the rate depends on whether we are providing public relations counsel, editorial services, or support to an agency or consultancy. Our retainer rates for longer-term, planned relationships are by negotiation and invariably significantly lower than our ad-hoc rates.

A feature of TextWrite’s work ethic is our determination to be open and transparent about the financials.  We operate an open-book policy and will be happy at any stage to discuss any aspect of the budget and how this relates to the hours we are putting in on your behalf.

We provide detailed estimates on all jobs, preventing any nasty surprises. Our fees reflect our low cost base and enable corporations, small businesses and large PR consultancies to take advantage of our expertise and support.

We split our invoices into 'fees' and 'costs'. Fees cover the time we spend, while costs cover expenditure that we incur on your behalf.

All costs will be incurred your complete knowledge and approval. We will ask you to approve any individual cost over an agreed amount. When commissioning third-party work on your behalf we will secure at least three quotations for the job, show you the quotations and discuss with you which option we'd recommend. We do not mark up third party invoices.

We invoice fees in advance, but at the interval of your choice, and costs monthly in arrears.
